Cornerstone defines global missions to be any evangelistic endeavor to fulfill the Great Commission by:
faithfully proclaiming the gospel, while doing what we can to meet the needs of the total person - spiritual, physical, emotional, social, etc.;
making disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and
supporting the work of the local church both locally and globally.
Our theology of missions is one that is rooted in God’s sovereign work; which prevents us from boasting in our own accomplishments, while fueling us to engage in missions work with great confidence in what the Lord will do.
The primary focus for us is to make the gospel known to the unreached peoples of the world - to reach the unreached. As a church, this will be done by establishing healthy partnerships with missionaries and mission organizations, but also by raising up and commissioning short-term and long-term missionaries from among us.
