KPCW KIDS

TODDLERS MINISTRY

Sunday Service | 9:15 AM and 11:15 AM

(Ages 12-36 months)

It is never too early to begin teaching and modeling biblical truths to our youngest children.

Our vision for this ministry is to help our children begin to grasp big and powerful truths about Jesus, God, and His Kingdom. Through prayer, modeling, and repetition, it is our hope that our children develop a solid spiritual foundation, so that they may one day respond to the Gospel and place their hope and faith in Jesus Christ. We desire to nurture our children's spirits by teaching them very simple truth statements. We partner with parents so that they are continually exposed to these statements throughout the week. It is our prayer that the Holy Spirit will bring understanding and produce faith in our youngest children as they expand their biblical vocabulary and knowledge.

Children attend Praise and Worship with their parents in EM sanctuary. After, we gather in the Nursery room in the EM building. Walking infants to 2 year-olds are welcome. Please note that there is a drop-off system.

  • 1. Priorities

    • Gospel-First: Every activity points to the truth that God made, loves, and rescues us through Jesus.

    • Whole-Body Learning: Music, movement, pictures, and hands-on play engage all five senses.

    • Safety & Nurture: A 4-to-6–member volunteer team keeps ratios low and care personal

    2. Year-at-a-Glance

PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN

Sunday Service | 9 AM and 11 AM

(For ages 3-6)

Our purpose is for our children to know the love of God and understand our need for Jesus. As our students increase a greater understanding of God's love for them we hope that they will grow their love for him. We hope to equip our children to follow God's greatest commandment to love God and neighbor as they do all things for his glory. Our vision is for our children to know Christ and make him known. Our vision is also to build bridges within the family. Not only do we want to serve our students, we desire to serve families.

We gather in the Pre-K and K room in the KM building.

For more information, please contact Kathleen Ahn.

  • Our Pre-K/K Sunday School, offered at 9:00 AM, is designed especially for our youngest learners to grow in their knowledge and love of God through Scripture, worship, and creative activities. We use the Show Me Jesus curriculum by Great Commission Publications, a Christ-centered program that helps children understand God’s redemptive story at an early age.

    Each Sunday, children can expect a nurturing, engaging environment where they will:

    • begin with a time of joyful worship, singing a few simple and familiar songs;

    • join in reciting the Doxology and end the message with the Lord’s Prayer, developing a foundation in Christian worship and prayer;

    • hear a Bible lesson that is interactive and age-appropriate, rooted in the truths of God’s Word; and

    • participate in a craft or hands-on activity that ties directly to the message of the day, reinforcing what they've learned in a fun and memorable way.

    Our goal is to help young children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn about Jesus.

    What Visitors Can Expect:

    Visitors are always welcome! If you're joining us for the first time, your child will be warmly included in all parts of our program. All materials and supplies are provided, and our dedicated volunteers are experienced in caring for and teaching young children. We look forward to welcoming your family to our Pre-K Sunday School at 9:00 AM!

  • We are currently going through "In the Beginning... Jesus", a 40-week study published by Truth78 (formerly known as Children Desiring God).

    This study is designed to help students see the big picture of the Bible. Through it, they explore the intentional structure of Scripture, trace the unfolding story of God's redemptive plan, and grow in their understanding of its eternal and sovereign nature, all centered on the person of Jesus Christ.

    After the message, students break into small groups for further discussion of the lesson, then return to the worship room for a closing song and end the service with the Lord’s Prayer.
